News: Mud and water treatment plant in Sweden on Hallandsas jobsite
The separation plant ordered by the joint venture Skanska/Vinci is working since several months in Bastad for the boring of 2 tunnels for the rail of 5500 m length.This work is made by a Tunnel Boring Machine, with an excavation diameter of 10,6 m, principally in gneiss.The main feature of this plant is to treat fully a 1800 m3/h flow either in “open mode”, ie weakly loaded in suspended matter, or in “closed mode” up to 700 t/h of muck. In addition to the separation, water and mud management units, MS takes in charge a complete treatment of the fines with physico-chemical and mud treatment steps. The clear water is controlled and discharged with suspended matter rate under 65 mg/l
