MS is going to supply for September 2006 the mud separation plant for the two biggest tunnel boring machines of the world for Chongming project in Shanghai.The diameter of these tunnel boring machines supplied by Herrenknecht is 15,44 m, ie an excavation surface of 187 mē by machine. The total treated flow by the MS separation plant will be of 6000 m3/h (3000 m3/h maximum by TBM). This project will be managed by a joint venture composed of BTP Shanghai and STEC. Thanks to this order, MS reinforces its leader position in this underground works field.
